Dr. Glass was born in Brooklyn, NY and has lived in
such places as New York, Hawaii, Wisconsin, and Texas.
He graduated from college at Baylor University, earning
a BA in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry. He then
continued on to medical school at the University of
Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio.
From there, he completed a surgical residency in Grand
Rapids, Michigan, focusing his last portion of training
on bariatric surgery. He joined Central Minnesota
Surgeons and started his bariatric surgery program
in St. Cloud, MN in 2003.
He is a board certified surgeon and a member of the
Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons.
Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Society
for Bariatric Surgery. Surgical interests include
bariatrics, thyroid, general surgery, trauma, breast
cancer, and
advanced laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Glass has been married since 1995 and has two
children. Hobbies include music, building computers,
hiking and camping, skiing, Bible study, and spending
time with his family.
Dr.
Bettendorf was born and raised in St. Cloud and attended
Cathedral High School . He graduated summa cum laude
in 1997 from Michigan Technological University with
a B.S. in Biology. He earned his M.D. at Creighton
University in Omaha, Nebraska in 2002. His five-year
general surgery residency was completed in 2007 in
Grand Rapids, Michigan .
Dr. Bettendorf has special interest in intra-abdominal
and advanced laparoscopic surgery. He performs a variety
of open and laparoscopic bariatric procedures.
His hobbies include skiing, running, mountain biking,
and bird and big game hunting. He and his wife Carrie
are blessed with five children.
